Project Information
Haven't carved in a while. My detail saw was stolen and I just recently got around to replacing it. Hard to do much as I live in the city. These signs are pretty quick and a lot of fun.
I have a few of these to make for friends. I need to work on certain letters of the alphabet some more. "Welcome" turns out well as all the letters are pretty full.
Lighter welcome sign is maple. The other two are western red cedar. Carved, torched, sanded and then covered in Australian Timber Oil.
I milled all this lumber with an Alaskan chainsaw mill. I have a bunch of slabs still sitting. I can't seem to sell them as slabs so I thought I'd try to sell some signs. Other than requests from a couple friends I can't sell these either. They're fun. I'll keep working at it and refining them and probably just give em away.
