Project Information

I made a set of stools for my mother-in-law to use as plant stands on her new deck. It was my first real experience working with cedar and I'm not really fond of how it splits and splitters with every cut. I was happy with how they turned out. The slatted top gave me a chance practice cutting and fitting tongue and groove and i didn't think i did too bad. The biggest problem i had was probably do to the play in my miter gauge and my cheap table saw. Over all i really enjoyed working on these and my mother-in-law really liked them. Thanks for looking.

Looks good to me. They will turn a lovely natural grey over time, and should last for quite a few years.

I could use a few of these for my many hibiscus plants that I put out annually.

Thanks for the compliments. Jroot you said it might turn grey do you know if it will still do that with a finish on it. I put several coats of spar poly on it to help extend the life a little longer.
