Good looking project! Do you mind if I ask the thickenss of the wood and some information about how you designed the sliding lid and the size of the slides that you cut?

Thanks!

Chesapeake Bob…I used 1/4" Red Oak. I started with the deck of cards and dice to come up with my approximate measurments. I cut a 1/8" dado along the top and bottom of the inside frt, bk and side panels. Then I cut out the top and bottom to size and rabbited the edge to be just under the 1/8" dado size. Taking the measurments from the top or bottom you can then cut the frt, bk and sides to length.

That's a tidy little box. I needed the card deck for scale, my brain misunderstood the size..
