CAR TOON
Lock Down Customs..
Scroll Saw Cars in Spalted Beech Lacewood Cherry Snakeskin Oak Walnut & Maple.
Wheels in Rosewood Birch Oak Sweet Chestnut & Walnut.
Great fun to make and the wheels were a bit of a challenge as I don't have a Lathe I spun them in my drill .
Enjoyed making these this week.

WOW … that first one is my favorite … love the spalting beech wood … and the wheels and tires are fabulous ... GREAT JOB :<))

Hard to find Beech like this.
I am tempted to buy more of this wood but its very expensive .

A WOW for me too! Like Tony (GR8HUNTER) My favorite is that fist one but all are a joy to see! I love those wheels! Great work!
I want a full size (#1 pic) to drive around town! LOL!

This was the slice of Beech I bought off ebay
12 X 8 X 2 inches .

Made the wheels using Scroll saw .drill and my Dremel .
All a bit improvised but does the job .
I don't have the luxury of a lathe .

Great work and just got to love them there wheels and rims!!!
If you can make that nice a wheel with out a lathe you don't need one. LOL!!!

Hey Thanks ! I simply don't have room for one and to be honest this does the trick .
I only have a 8 foot shed and bursting at the seems.

Right just bought the last two slices .
After searching online made me realise just how good this timber is.

Thank you Andrek ..I like these figured timbers they make me look like I know what I'm doing Ha ha. ... Winging it. !

this is some of the nicest imaginative work to come along - lumber selection is great, and the tire/wheels are just an outstanding example of "I can do it this way"

I'm blown away with all these comments.
I'm so inspired by so many great projects and artist here and maybe my work will encourage more people to have ago and you don't need no fancy tools and workshop just enjoy the challenge .
