The walking staff was mostly a matter of bending the top to a comfortable positon and putting a butt cap on the bottom . It was then finished with a spar varnish .
The two paddles were made for canoeing with the Boy Scouts . They were laminated up from some scraps of interesting wood friends gave me and some cut up window sashes . Then I used a router to even up all layers and then sanded them with a curve using a beltsander . Then I cut out the final shapes and and used a orbital sander to smooth them out and finished them off with spar varnish . They work very well including the oddly shaped one made from an apple tree branch ." it's mine "
