Well done Keith. A very enlightening project.
What kind of tember (temba) is it made from?

Perfect for running through the town and crying

"Are the children in their bed, for it's past ten o'clock?"

It's been more than 55 years since mom recited that to me:)

Might have to make one. Have some spalted maple from a tree we took down in our front yard that would work.

Where did you get the candle?

A history remake!
The electric candle = no wax on the holder.
I like the understated elegance of your candle holder.

Keith,
Very clever and great use of technology. I have a couple of these candles lying around, and now I know what I will do with them…...after winter lets go of my garage/shop.
