Project Information

This was originally some artwork from the game COD World At War. I took the artwork and in Rhino Cad turned it into a 3D image, And carved it out on the CNC machine. Carving has map of world on top, with barbed wire, and bombers planes, helmet, Thompson gun, flags. The wood is Oak need a little sanding it's a one of a kind piece.

As a big fan of COD, I love this piece! How long does it take start to finish? Are you going to paint it or oil finish or…?

Very attractive. I'd like to see a photo of it after you've sanded. Are you able to maintain the detailing afterward? And how long did the CNC set up take?

It took me about 3hr to design it in Rhino Cad and about another 3hr to carve. And I was thinking of using some color stain on it, instead of paint for the finish.

nice! :)

Oak is a major PITA to carve. The grain is just huge and it gets chunky on the edges.

Definitely go with a colour stain :)
