Project Information

Live-oak burl . wormy and deteriorated. Salvaged with the use of Epoxy, in 6 colors and augmented by atomized Bronze, silver, and brass as well as powdered and chunked Lapis-Lazuli, amethyst chunks, malachite, azurite, blue Topaz, and garnet. If I would have had anything else of interest I would have added it too. it is 8"wide by 6 1/2" tall

I'm guessing you use your pressure pot somehow to imbed all the foreign material then turn it to suit ??

However it was done, the process makes the end result a WINNER !

Pressure pot used six times to set the epoxies. Not used in the application of metals and stones ! (CA glue in worm holes and cavities filled with atomized metals and crushed stones).

Wow, you've been busy. Way to go for saving that rotten piece of wood, I would have tossed it. Nice work!!

Phenomenal work. Photo 1 reminds me of the earth, beaitiful. The fish "eye" section, hmmm, that is somewhat scary.

I agree that the eye has a creepiness to it, but holy cow that came out beautiful!
