Have you thought about taking off the old rusty hardware? Looks like it could snag clothes as people walk by. Very "rusic" looking,

heh…"rusti"c… i think i did eventually grind the pin off for the hinge that stood out. we still like having some hardware on it, so at least it didn't stick out at bad. very wise thinkin stosh. there's nothing safer than safety
