This is a kerfing plane which is used to cut a kerf around the perimeter of a board which then makes a nice guide for resawing with my frame saw
I used my old plow plane as a model, see the last photo. It had decoration on the arms, fence and arm supports so I tried to duplicate that on my arms, fence and bridle.
For the hardware I used stuff in my shop including using drill bits for the bridle guide posts.
Cut out the body and auger the handle and arm holes.

Cut the slot for the blade.

Use the treadle lathe for the arms.

Stair step the moulding profile with skew rabbit plane.

Moulding profiles finished with moulding hollow and round planes.

Stair step the corner of the moulding with saws.

Create the hollows and rounds on the corner with rasps.

Saw the bridle in half.

Glue the arms.

Ready to finish and bolt together.
