Project Information

This is a special box I made for a friend of the family that has beaten breast Cancer. The box is red oak with maple . The splines are Padauk. There is a pink ribbon inlayed on the lid and pink satin interior. The handle is cocobola ,maple and purple heart.
Thank you Andy for all of the inspiration in making these boxes, I love making them.

I'm always amazed by these boxes. Dumb question (I just don't know the answer…)... How do you get all of those nice undulations carved in the box so fluidly?

Very nice project. Thanks for sharing

The box looks great and public awareness towards this issue is needed.

Nice job

Unfortunately, the organizations symbol on the box now represents narrow political interests. Cancer should never be a political issue. Yet this organization made it one. Shame on the Komen foundation

The box looks great. I was fast to forward this link to my wife as she is also a breast cancer survivor. Great job Vince.

Not to start anything on this site but just to make a correction.
Mike (MRue)
The symbol on the box is not Komen it is for Breast cancer awareness. The Komen symbol looks much different, which includes a dot above the ribbon.
