Project Information

I posted a blog on this bowl, previously called the lidded bowl. However, I have concluded that I have enough things to do, and that I will not be making a lid for this bowl. Therefore, it has become a finished project, ready for immediate purchase. The bowl is Amber bamboo, and sports a variety of woods for the branches and leaves. As always I welcome constructive criticism, positive or negative.

This is a impressive bowl. I really like the inlay. By the way how many pieces did you use for the segment part of the bowl? Looks like a lot. Also would be interested in how long did it take you to make it?

I take it thtat this is built up bamboo slab at the start and used in that form & is not really segmented as we usually think of it…it is a very intriguing bowl and a real eye-catcher

This is really well done and I am very impressed with the inlay - no idea how you do it cleanly on the curved bowl surface, but it looks great. Well done. -Richard
