Box of Roses

These maple boxes came out of thr desk set zi built last week. I liked the idea of scroll sawing a pattern into the lid. There is a scrape of maple sized to fit inside the box as a backer to the rose patterns, Then I used a cherry dye to contrast the pattern, I suppost any pattern is eligable for this technique, I think i'll keep this going for awhile and see where this goes. So far it is fun.
The size is 6×3x2
The finish is my favorite….linseed oil and lacquer.
