Project Information

small box I made similar to Rogers but a little less intricate.no drawer no handles or lock, just tried different veneers,in his style of box.I didn't want to spend money for sequential cut veneer.I wanted to see if I could make something a little different from what I have been doing.Learned a lot and will probably try it again with some nice veneer.I bought Roger's walnut burl fountain photo documentary and was a lot of help. Thanks Roger

Bill,
First, I'm really glad you found the ebook helpful, and good to see that you chose to give the box a try. It is, indeed, a complex box to make. The second volume (pepperwood box) is somewhat less daunting. So, thank you, and I hope you work inspires others to give these boxes a try. The finished product is very rewarding. I hope you'll keep making 'em.

Less intricate but the stunning woods you have chosen would have been overshadowed by details. This is a good combination of a pleasingly interesting shape and beautifully grained wood. It's a project of which you should be, justly, proud.
