Bowl

I will name this one HEARTBREAK so befoer you make a positive comment take a closer look. I thought I would finish turning this bowl even though it had a couple stress cracks from drying. It was a 12 inch diameter so maybe I left a little too much shell. I hated to throw it away so filled the cracks. I was giving it a final buffing before finish, caught on the cloth wheel and slipped out of my hands. BOUNCE BANG BREAK yields HEARTBREAK. I had taken my rubber faced gloves off. Not a good idea, lesson learned the hard way. Sick feeling. It had broken through the stress cracks and the broken piece was intact. Ca glue, wood filler, heatgun, power sander, buffing, was back ready for finishing in 20 minutes. Looks not bad but still not feeling that great. Just waiting for someone to say, I wish I had a bowl like that, it will be off to a new home. I will remember to keep my gloves on from now on. Comments about my stupidity welcome.
