Project Information

Took almost 2 years to complete- but it's finally done!

Made out of rustic hickory and finished with crystal clear polyurethane. Recessed magnets to keep the lid closed, pse wheels, 60x custom strings for the lid support, G Harris pewter drawer pull. Soss hinges, Mahogany and walnut bow pegs. 'Murica. I like it.

Thanks to LumberJocks member newTim for the Soss jig plans.

I will not comment on the pink bow … Love your choice wood for this project, Hickory is in the right place here.
The way you celebrate the knot on the front door is just a touch of class, Kudos.
The simple straight crown is right for this piece. All in all I think you have done a right nice job on this piece … but now all your buddies will want one too.

Thanks Mike! I learned a lot from it. Certainly is the most extensive project I've done. I hope to get some better pics up there soon to show off that character of the lid.

PS- I originally started building the rack for the pink bow, but my daughter was kind enough to let me use the extra places for my gear :)

Great job! Beautiful! I've been thinking about a custom rack for my recurves. Hope you don't mind me copying a few of your ideas.
