Project Information
My daughter, having seen bookshelves made from crates on Pinterest or such a site wanted to make one. Having found new crates for a reasonable price in IKEA, she found a pattern to assemble them.
But when posed on the ground, it was not very elegant and it would not allow using the vacuum cleaner.
So I designed a base for it.
The feet are "half lapped" (in fact 1/3 lapped) into the long rails.
The cross members are in dado with a wedged tenon (à la Paul Sellers).
The crates are kept together with screw and the assembly is screwed to the cross members.
