Workshop Information

Location
Canada
I made pine Shaker chimney cupboards to finish off my apartment workshop. The originals are from Mt. Lebanon, circa 1820s. They allowed me to build a tool rack without having to screw it into the wall. I might later install a roller blind or curtain to cover the back area but this will be the configuration for a while. The left cupboard is all clamps and also saw sharpening, machinist, Criss-cross and guitar making vises. Everything but the guitar vise is easily accessible. The right cupboard holds my vacuum stuff. I only use hand tools in the apartment, so it's a matter of sweeping/vacuuming at the end of a session. The Makita battery powered vacuum connects to a battery powered circular saw. When I need to rough dimension stuff (especially a bunch of long rip cuts) I go out to the parking lot of my building and do it without making any mess or getting myself dusty.

Edit: I added my sharpening station/tool cabinet that's just out of left frame of the other photos.

So I gotta ask. How's the dust in your apartment?
