Project Information

I have always considered building the Blacker Living room armchair to be a sort of rite of passage for G&G furniture makers - but I have yet to make one!! Although I have made every variation of the Blacker chair I can think of - this settee being one of those variations.
The Greene's did not produce a Blacker Settee - but I was not the first to make a Settee version - that honor goes to "Tom Gallenberg."

You've got something to sit in for every room of the house. This is a great looking version.

Darrel,

Beautifully done! It's what we've come to expect from your shop.

I have plans (in my head) to build a G&G style of 'exoskeleton' clock - not something that the G brothers did, but in their wonderful arts-n-craft style. I'll forwarf pictures when I get the piece done.

Thanks for posting. Look forward to your newsletters. Max

Hi Darrell - nice to see a piece of your work so early in the morning - gets the blood flowing for the day ahead. We visited Tery and Sue Hahm's home in Wisconsin in April, which was Galenberg's big G&G project - beautiful work as well.

I don't have the words to tell you how much I love this piece and the self evident craftsmanship in it. Thanks for showing it to us.
