Project Information

Just finished up a project for my eldest - who's a talented musician. He picked out all the woods, customized the stain color, and selected the gold hardware trim. We started it together and he did a fair amount of the initial body shaping with dad providing critical guidance for this novice woodworker. He handled it all remarkably well. I had to finish it after he went off to med school this past year. She looks and sounds great. Body wood is alder. Neck wood is chechen with quarter sawn maple binding and truss rod stripe. Abalone dots. The smile says it all!

Its one thing to coax a chunk of wood into a shape we want. Its another to inlay decoration and mate large pieces of wood effectively. Its another all together when it actually makes music !
Congratulations ! It is a beautiful guitar. Tell your oldest to record a You-Tube segment so we can hear it play !
