I needed fenders on my bike. My options were to spend $40 at a local bike shop, or spend $25 online and have to wait a week for them to be delivered. Neither were acceptable. Took about an hour and a half from start to finish using scraps. I started by cutting out some cardboard templates from an empty case of New Belgium. I ended by putting on a thick coat of shellac. It may not be pretty, but at least I'm not covered in grit and water, and I money to buy more beer.
