My work shop is half the garage. My main tool is my grand fathers old Shop Smith 10er that I fixed up the best I can with out spending too much. I hope to be able to make it perfect one day, but for now I am happy to enjoy making things with it, after all thats the way it was meant to be.

Your 10ER looks to be in great condition.Amazingly, a great number of these 60 year old machines are still "cranking away". Stop in at the Shopsmith forum, there are some expert 10E guys there. www.shopsmith.net/forums

Bgonser, this is a nice looking Shopsmith that you have in your shop. I can understand why you enjoy using it. I have a number of hand tools that I inherited from my father and grandfather that they used during their working careers (they were both carpenters by trade). It always gives me a great deal of satisfaction to hold the same tools that they used on nearly a daily basis since they are both gone now.

Thanks for the pictures. It was fun to tour your shop.

I agree 100% with scott's comment, tools work so much better with a story & feeling behind them
