Bentwood Walnut Dining Table-Here is a table (or could be a desk I guess) that I have made in the past. I just never had it photographed or posted it.The table is made from walnut with purple heart breadboard ends. The base was created by bending the wood in a very large form using bending plywood for the bulk of the bend and then laminated pieces of walnut for the outer bends. A walnut cap was put on the ends. This table has gotten a lot of attention because of the unique look. The second dinning set is a larger version of this table and all the dinning room furniture that went with it. The large hutch and the corner hutch both bent back to the wall with bentwood and curved glass. This was a stiking set.

Something similar would really look nice as a hall table wouldn't it! I really like the space in the base of the bentwood legs. Scott what would a shelving unit look like with this design, have the same space or opening at the top, you know like an entertainment center, glass shelf or two on the bottom, and maybe a couple above a TV or what have you. Well I'm thinkin outloud here, you know how that works. I really like it

No commisions (LOL), maybe one day when we are old and grouchy (no offense to our esteemed colleagues here at LJ) we can have a cup of coffee.

The sides are made of 4- 1/8 veneers that are edge glued together before putting in the form to bend to make one solid leg.If that makes sense
