Wow, I am super jealous. Very nice work!!! I have been researching making my own brake drum forge for a year or so, have gathered some of the parts and an HF anvil. Still need to get a hammer and tongs, and buy/make a post vice. I wish there was a class nearby me. Do you watch Forged in Fire?

drewpy, when I started out here on LJ, almost ten years ago, my skills were at a really limited level, so it has been a fun journey, that happened while being here, thanks to loads of inspiration and the fact we all share. Thank you.
SMP, you should get into the forging, soooo much joy, I just use a small gas forge, it's easy and cost no more than the coal forge. If I one day get a workshop outside the city, I will make a coal forge no doubt. No I did not know about the Forged with fire, but I just checked and can see it's highly trained blacksmiths there. I have a load of unposted blogs about the forging part, I'll see if I can get to post them soon. Time have wings here and my wish to do list grows…
Jim, I have to admit it really is doubble the joy, when they are all made by your own hands. That joy can't be bought.
