Project Information

Hi to all, this is the new handle I made for an old spanish rip cut saw, "Bellota´s trademark". The plate has 40 or 50 years old (I think) and it is much better than the "bellota" news. It had a terrible red straight handle, and now is like part of your arm. The handle is made of apple wood (An old tree from my parents backyard) and it is finished with linseed oil and bees wax. I hope you like it,

Very nice job Isra. The apple makes a beautiful handle for that saw. Would you mind posting a larger image of the Bellota medallion for inclusion in the Saw Medallion Reference Guide? Thanks!

Thanks Isra. That makes a nice addition to the Guide. Are there other brands of Spanish saws?

I think so, but I do nor know their names. I am looking for some other old spanish saw to restore them but it is quite difficult to find some good one that it is not dead. I have to buy old american or british saws to work with them. If I find something interesting I will post it and let you know.

Very nice Isra ! I have a couple of Bellota tools bought years ago, a tack hammer and an adze/axe combo, they're still among those tools that see regular use.
