Project Information

ok well here are my beer/bq projects.i made a bbq tool set kit i got from penn state industires.handles were all turned on the lathe with cocobollo, with a bonus cocobollo bottle opener also from PSI. hey in a beer swap,it's a given. the spice caddy is made from zebra wood. handle attached with SS rods. plugs are cocobollo. rubber bumpers on the bottom of caddy. finish is several coats of GF arm r seal. sorry but i didn't take a lot of pic's for this. now if you wanna see the beer my recipient mike has that posted on the swap.

i gotta say if youve never done a swap your missing out on a lot of fun with some of the best guys on the forum.well except kenny…....just kidding he runs the best swap on LJ'S and ill be back next year. so if youve thought about it,keebler is running the next swap which is a knife swap thats forming right now so join us. no it doesn't need to be like forged in fire, buy a kit and make a handle for it.you wont rgret it i promise.

Nice job, Pottz! Is the tote sized so it can carry beer, too? I mean, red and green chile, plus some salt… that leaves three slots open for beers!

Pottz, great project for the swap. The rack is very cool, (and that added double for a beer tote). The utensils turned out great to. The wood choice is wonderful. (I have some block sitting next to the lathe, been working on paid jobs). Well done.

Hey buddy. Great job on the BBQ set. Looks like an upscale set for the rich and famous. The Cocobolo really sets the pieces off, and YEP, gotta have an opener. I'm lusting for that Kindred carrier. I just started using their stuff, and mucho good flavor. That carrier is just plain sexy. The BEER nutz, and the sauce were just gravy. Too bad the sauce fell victim to the shipping Gorillas, we've been plagued by breakage, too bad that.

You have a great design sense and the skills to make it real… I guess this set can make BBQ extra spicy in the good way.

swanky stuff!!! Now SWMBO wants me to make grill utensils like yours. She also mentioned that she wants fancy Damascus steel knives with fancy wood handles. No pressure here.
