Project Information

All custom including the moulded stiles between the cabinet doors and the frame work. Lots of hours. Did the tile as well. Wainscoat on the far wall wasn't in yet in the first picture. In the 3rd pic; you can see the linen cabinet in the reflection of the mirror. Getting the 2 windows in perfect alignment when building the house was no mild task. That way when it came time to case the windows and frame the mirror, a single faceframe did it all. I took it to the glass shop and the guy couldn't hardly believe it until I went back with a photo of it all together. The little appliques came from Lee Valley but were 3/4" thick and I wanted to make them 3/8". I wasn't running my fingers that close to a saw blade so I made a fixture that held them down with my shop vac and used my router to end mill off the back. 13 of 'em ~ that took a whole evening. The fella that likes the tile: yes, the tall cabinet has tile and back splash on the top of it too. When I get going ~ I do it all. Notice the door stop mounted high on the linen cabinet face frame. It works great for hanging your towel when in the shower.Yes; the door handles are Baldwin and the cabinet handles are from Lee Valley.

David,

These are really nice cabinets. The raised panels on the doors, edge treatments on the drawers and the rosette blocks add nice details to the projects that create a lot of visual interest.

Did you run the wainscoting around the rest of the bathroom?

Thanks for sharing.

Looks great. Funny, David, how general woodworking & cabinetmaking go hand in hand the further along we go.
