Glad you posted this. I am thinking about making something similar for a gift this year. Are the dimensions of this the same as an actual home plate? 17×8.5×12

Glad you liked it. It has to be a little different dimentions so it can fit 12 baseballs. It's about 4.75 inches deep 19 inches wide and about 21 inches in length. I'm not exactly sure though you could probably check ebay for exact dimentions, I know they sell them on there, that's where I got the idea from. Also make sure you have a baseball there to test it out while you make the shelves. One thing though, it's VERY heavy so make sure you have a good way to fasten it onto the wall or stand. Mine did fall off once, and I had to replace the glass.

This is a neat idea, a french cleat might work for this to hold it to the wall securely. My son has 3 signed baseballs maybe if I build this he could work on filling it up.
