Showcase cover image for Bar top

Project Information

My nephew is doing some renovating on his house and he saved some boards from demo and wanted to use them for a bar top between kitchen and living room.
The original plan was to pull nails and mill the boards but the boards had so many nails and bits of metal that we didn't want to damage any blades so a skilsaw with demo blade and some pipe clamps , timber screws and a bunch of glue and This is what we ended up with.
There was also quite a bit of sanding and about 4 coats of poly and wax to soften it up a bit.
We both really liked the rough look kinda like an old Viking table

Reduce and Reuse:) Sometimes that wood going to the dump or fire pit has some surprises. Do need some "Full" bottles to do it justice?
