I said don't be so long between posts but this is amazing!
Sweet project and the woods are complimentary,, nice gapping on the drawers!
I love using the blackwood, but will need to order more of the huon pine and maybe some myrtle next time.

Came out nice. I have never heard of blackwood and huon pine. Are those indigenous to somewhere unique? Kind of looks like walnut and pine.

Well done, a nice blend of Australian timbers and skill!

Huon Pine is a timber all of it's own, most of the supply is sourced / mined from flooded rivers.

Nice box. Fit and finish are great. Contrasting woods look good.

This is a great looking box. The lines are very sinuous, very flowing. I love Huon Pine… a friend from Australia sent me a turned box for my collection years ago out of Huon and it has a smooth silky feel to it. The wood selection on this box contrasts very well without being overdone.

Exceptionally beautiful bandsaw box. Can you tell the combination of wood used?

Fantastic!

I was going to say the even Tony Ward would be proud of this one, but I see he has already weighed in on it.
