Project Information

40 degrees on the base and i made a jig to hold it under the drill press. i want to say it was about 30-35 degrees and about 8 inches from the base. African Mahogany + boiled linseed oil + 4 coats of tiger garnet shellac. It's a gift for someone. I was told some wines need to be stored tilted so the wine touches the cork so that's why it's not horizontal.

Nice! Is the hole itself drilled on an angle? I can't quite tell, but you mentioned a jig…

Cool, I like the idea of the thicker wood.

Thanks everyone… Elizabeth, I cut a piece of wood so it basically looked like a wedge with a stop at the bottom so after i cut the base angle, I could just throw it on the drill press, clamp it down, and drill it up.
