UPDATED: More updates to the shop, including extensions off building for boat and tractor. This summer (2018) added a mini split ac/heat unit. This thing is great, works well for my space and added a filter (not pictured) to top of inside unit to minimize dust intake.

You have a nicely organized shop space in which to work. It looks like you have arranged your tools and benches to take advantage of your available shop space. I can appreciate the "problems" that mowers and other outdoor equipment give you. It seems as if whenever we need to store something my wife thinks that putting it in MY SHOP space is where it needs to go. :)

Have you thought about routing grooves in the outfeed table so that you can use your sled and miter gauge?

You have a nice set of tools to work with. I would enjoy working in a shop like this.

Thanks for the pictures. I enjoyed visiting you shop.

Oh yea, just put the outfeed table together last week. Don't have a straight plunge router bit yet, so I plan to do this in a few weeks when I get one. I don't know how most people acquire tools, but I usually accumulate them when I need them in a project and so far haven't needed a straight plunge router bit.

Thanks for the compliments. Thinking I need some wall cabinets???

You can't have enough storage space in a shop. Wall cabinets would be a nice project for the upcoming months. These will give you storage and not interfere with your tools. You do have some space over your miter saw for a couple of cabinets it looks like.

Nice looking shop.
You have the option to go canoeing when you don't feel like making dust.

Updated the shop with some new shelves and tools. Maybe one day I will have everything as I want it.

How about some detail on how that canoe is hung? I have mine from a pulley system on the ceiling and it is always in the way… And a royal pain in the tail to lower down to use it…

If you notice, there are 4×4 treat posts attached to the wall. Holes are drilled in them with iron pipe drove into the holes. It has been plenty stron enough to support the canoe. It also serves dual purpose by allowing braces for wood storage.

Good start on a nice shop. Welcome to Lumberjocks. I use to live in Lakesite and my kids went to John Allen and Soddy Daisy High. Small world.
