For a while at least. Slowly the states are passing laws to make them inconvenient. We are being encouraged to use re-usable fabric bags here in New Jersey.

Any idea why the DT15 only goes to 10 currently? When I posted this project it only went to 11.

As far as the bags go, the City of Portland wants to ban them, as they clog up the landfills, and are a pain to recycle. The grocery stores around here all have those reusable, plastic-fabric bags, and people seem to love 'em.

As to the calculation for the DT3, I've asked the question several times, and have always been told that that information is "classified." The higher-ups here at LJs have never responded, either. I suppose it's so that people don't try to rig the system to get DT3's for all their projects-but come on-the calculations aren't nuclear weapons secrets….......

I'm glad you brought this up. I've been watching my projects, especially the one's that make DT3. I seriously think that this one made it because I was the last man standing when the others ahead of me expired. I recently looked on the Prpjects page and of the 15 displayed, I'm at 14, so not that many projects were posted yesterday nor today.

As far as the algorithm for DT3… I don't know the specifics, but I think it goes something like this. High score in your first 24 hours wins. Let's say a view gets you 1 point. A comment gets you 2 points and a 'favorite' gets you 3 points. If you want to get DT3 your best strategy is to post a tool or workshop jig so that it gets favorited. Title it something that acts like click bait, like 'What should I call this?' That invites views, comments and favoriting. Everybody wants to build jigs, right?
