Project Information

Client couldn't find anything close anywhere, so we started with the space and built out to include his flat screen TV, which is not large, and his audio gear (including turntable) in the far right bay. The drawers hold CDs precisely. The doors to the TV area are on Accuride hardware. Finish is oil/varnish under wax.

Material is red oak, selected for vertical grain. Panels are quartersawn 1/4" ply.

A very nice piece Lee, both design and workmanship. I love the color of the finish and the subtle grain. I have never seen red oak look this good before.

I didn't believe it was red oak either! Fantastic, like it a lot! Really like the hardware too.

Incredible. My next project will be a mission style dresser, if it turns out half as nice as this I'll be thrilled!

Just came across this one Lee, it is a great looking cabinet. I like the asymmetry with drawers on one side. That quartersawn plywood is tough to come by.

Lee,

That is a beautiful cabinet. What are the dimensions?

Thanks!

I appreciate the compliment, John.

Overall width is 76 inches, height is 36 3/4, depth 23 3/8.

Nearly every time I see the client he mentions how much he enjoys the cabinet. It was a very rewarding commission.

Kindly,

Lee

A very handsome piece and I love the stain color you achieved on nicely selected straight grain red oak.
Well done.
