This lamp is a variation of an Arts and Crafts Table lamp that I posted in http://lumberjocks.com/projects/139721. It is virtually the same proportionally as my my previous lamp other than the obvious, it has two columns, the base is larger, and the shade is wider front and back. As with my previous lamps, this is made from Quarter Sawn White Oak, (QSWO) stained and finished with Satin Lacquer. I will not be listing all dimensions in this post other than the differences so please review the previous post.
The lamp columns and shade supports are identical in size to my other lamps. The base is larger, 1 3/4" X 5 1/2" X 11" to accommodate the second column and the cut-out for wiring and switch but remains almost the same proportionally. The four pad feet are thicker to match the larger mass of the base. This lamp uses a 4 position rotary switch to control the lamp clusters as opposed to pull chains.
The shade front and rear, top/bottom rails are 7" longer (11 13/16" and 24") than the 4 13/16" and 17" top/bottom side rails. The stiles are a 1/4" longer, (discussed in post 139721) than the original design to provide a slight over-hang but the angles, and construction remain the same. The 7" difference in length accommodates the second lamp cluster. The lamp clusters are 7" wide. Other than some minor differences, the lamp clusters to shade proportion remain the same. Pictures 4 and 5 above are pictures of the original design and can be used for comparison. I also used Green Mica in the shade instead of Amber but I am not happy with it and will not use it again.
