In the fourth picture most notably , it appears that the endgrain is "capped"....is it just my eyes or the picture or what ? The QSWO and color are beautiful : )

Dusty56, yes the edges are capped with a thin pieces of QSWO to keep the look consistent. They are very thin so one can't see the seam. I liked how it looked on my Greene and Greene wall cabinet so I added them on this project.

I start with Trans Tint Medium Brown or Dark Mission Brown, one can dilute to taste then let dry and sand lightly when used on QSWO. Use a seal coat then wipe on Dark Mission GEL stain from Rockler or equivalent from another brand. Then spray with Deft Satin Lacquer or use ones on sprayer for the Satin lacquer finish.
