Project Information

Here is a couple of cribbage boards I made. I got the wood last year from an orchard near my parents place in Nakusp BC. It was in log form in their fire wood pile. I took a few logs and sliced them into roughly 1" planks last summer. The boards were all stickered and dried over the year.
The folding crib board was given to my father in law on his birthday. He wanted one to take on his bike trips with him. The pegs stay inside and the board stays folded closed by the two magnets.
The other crib board was given to the people who own the orchard that gave me the wood, as a little extra thanks. They really loved it and of course were happy to give me some more wood this year!
Both are finished with Danish oil and then paste wax.

They are both very nice and as we love to play cribbage I think I will "steal" your great idea and make a couple of these for gifts to friends. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the comments guys. I didn't realize before how off centered the space looks on that last board. Those hinges have a bit of play in them and trust me, it doesn't always look like that.

Awesome boards! Your woods are gorgeous, has very nice grain patterns and colors and the finish sets it off.
