Project Information

Bowl by Jim.
An Apple wood bowl, turned very, very green. This is limb wood that comes from a neighbor's very old tree when the main limb split off. Tree overloaded with red apples this year. The bowl was turned in two sessions, sanded to 220 grit, polished with EEE Ultra Shine and finished with wax. Their was no stain added. This is the natural color of the grain. The tree is so old that the wood is kind of punky and almost spalted. Finishing the bowl was difficult because of the end grain.
We only hope now that it doesn't explode in this dry Nevada climate.
Enjoy.
