Project Information

The roofers showed up about 9:30 and they willl be done by 2 P.M. The electrician started out by hand digging the trench from the house to the shop for the feed. They are busy now installing the cable and outlet boxes in the shop. I made a few changes, most of which the 'jocks brought to my attention…attic lights, outdoor outlet, etc. I had forgotten the 110 outlet for the air compressor which will be in the cyclone room so I added that plus one other 110 wall outlet. The schematic I had drawn up for the electricians had the middle row of flourescent lights off center, so we moved that too. Otherwise, it is moving right along. I will be glad when the air compressor for the roofers gets shut off…....you can't hear yourself think! I sure hope the roofers clean up after themselves, because they have made a worse mess than the builders.

The third picture is of my dear mascot Hercule, who is patiently waiting for this all to be over.

Again my compliments to your contractor. Going by his past performance, his roofing sub will leave your place clean as a pin. Why aren't you reading that book. Ha, ha. Almost there. Al

Don't forget 220 volt outlets in appropriate places. You might want to upgrade equipment and not want to fish the walls again to get them installed.

The dust collector and air compressor are quite often 220 volt.

The "Green-Eyed Monster" is biting me!
I still have a roughly graded pile of sand where my expansion will, some day go.
Your shop will be great!

Don't forget to take pictures of the insides of the walls before they are closed up.

Gary, No, I won't forget. I also had two attic lights put in with a switch by the stairwell. The walls are still open and we're waiting for an inspection, not to mention the door that was on order and will finally come in today. I still have the final electrical inspection to go also, which will not be done until probably Monday. The building was built and the roof was put on faster than all these little things and inspections have taken!
