Project Information

This box is similar the the earlier two. I went for two small trays this time, just for a change, and used curly jarrah for the lid. Still haven't gotten to the ring holders yet, but that'll come… eventually.

I finished the Jarrah with spray lacquer and wax, while the huon Pine got a coat of Danish oil and wax.

Wiggs,
Another tasteful box. I like the attention to the interior, particularly the use of the Huon pine. The softwoods offer their own unique beauty… one we use too infrequently. Well done.

Very nice looking box Wiggs. The curly top is beautiful and I really like the contrast between the woods. And as Roger said " like the attention to the interior". Thank you for sharing.

Look at that curly Jarrah, very good choice using it in a well made box. I have always liked Jarrah but has been hard to come for me.

Not that I am overlooking the superb craftsmanship (and that top is really special.) but that royal blue on the bottom is an outstanding match to the overall look of the box. Really nice.

If I received a box like that I would have to go and buy new jewelery, I currently don't have anything that would be good enough to put in that.

Really nice, going from the Jarrah to the lighter trays with the blue as the backup is visually a fantastic study in contrasts.
