Right now my work shop is a small clear area in the basement. It is 12 feet long, and 7 feet wide, with walls on two sides and the plumbing stack is in the corner, so I need to work around it. I also have an area under the basement stairs which I will be able to use for storage when I get it cleared out.

Before any tools can come in, I need to do something about the back wall-we had a wicked leak in the stack, and the whole corner was flooded badly. The good of this is that the stack was completely ripped out and replaced, and in order to do that we had to clear out that part of the basement….. which I can now take over to build my work shop in.

Once the wall is tended to, I need to plan where to run the electric for lights and plug in stations. Then run the electric.

I'm thinking a shoji screen along the left hand side. That would define my space, keep my sawdust out of the laundry area, and still be able to be moved about to give me room to work with sheet goods when I need it.
