Project Information

Here's what a little time to waste, no specific project to work on, and a pile of scraps to either make something with or burn in the fireplace…..

I need to put them away, everyone who sees them wants to talk about how neat they are and has become very distracting to get any work done…ha.

For anyone in the aviation business, military or civilian, these would make for great gifts for someone who has everything. I'm thinking about doing a few more as pen/pencil sets for the small chocks.

Pete,
I used poplar, stacking to get the thickness. I just used craft paint from the craft store and sprayed the big ones with clear coat and left the small ones without.

Do you ever sell what you create? As an old CH-53E crew chief and mech, I would have loved to receive something like this once I left the squadron. Instead, all I left with was a handshake and a Sikorsky patch for 1,000 mishap free hours. Good job! They look just how I remember them…

MarineMustang,
I do sell things from time to time, I wouldn't if I didn't have to though..lol. As I mentioned in the sea chest post, I was attached to a MALS, MALS 24 in Kbay….long live the -53Ds!

Did you see the -53D whirly gig picture in my album….very elementary in skills at the time but always got a lot a complements when folks came over to the house to visit.

Feel free to email me at [email protected] I will be more than happy to try to help you out with anything.
