Project Information

This is an air cleaner cart that I built using a furnace blower that a friend gave me. I followed Jay Bates' design very closely. I have the fan wired for its slowest speed, and WOW does it put out some air. I am excited about the added airflow my shop will have this summer. The additional air in a MS summer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking!

Looks good! I've got a Wen hanging from the ceiling but it would be handy to be able to filter air where needed

Nice work and great idea! This Air Cleaner should clean up the air in a hurry! I like the fact that it's pulling in air in all directions.

A lot nicer looking than mine; the top of which is a sharpening station.
I can see having air flow in the shop in the MS summer would help. Mine is used the opposite way, to circulate the heat from the wood stove in the winter.

Your air filtering system looks great. You get lots of air movement plus filtration while moving from place to place. Thanks for inspiring

Don't mind me I came looking for it after seeing it having a cameo appearance in the Bookcase for credenza project and thought that would be worth a blog or project and what do you know sure enough here it is!
