Hello All,

Big update, completely rearranged my shop. The whole space is about 10'x15' not including the cabinets lining the left side of the shop which I no longer use for woodworking supplies (just brewing stuff and home maintenance). this is the layout:

1) the view from the entrance of the shop, my most used machines (bandsaw and belt/spindle sander) are on the left, my workbench is on the right. I am doing much more hand tool work now. the white cabinets up and to the right house all my sandpaper, finish, extension cords, and spare tools.

2) view from the entrance to my kitchen,

3) I love my Nicholson style bench, I re positioned my workbench in front of the window for some nice natural light. view isn't earth shattering but the light is nice. The little toolbox on the left side has my most used hand power tools (jig saw, drill/driver, trim router), the box underneath my bench has most of my hand tools, and the Japanese style toolbox on the bench has most of my Japanese style tools.

4) my most used power tools. 14" delta bandsaw does 90% of my power tool work dimensioning and resawing lumber. The sander is the messiest tool i have but when you need it it is absolutely critical. I use the mini fridge that the sander sits on to control the fermentation of my beer (not wood related)

5) used to be my drafting desk but it turns out that space is better used for my drill press, scroll saw and sharpening station.

6) I have had the machinist tool box since I was a kid, now it is used to hold my router bits and hardware. I almost never use my table saw and on the advice of others on the forum I downsized it by taking off one of the wings and installed a router table in the other. It makes the most efficient use of space for two seldomly used tools.

Updated the shop with a new layout, a couple new tools, and a new workbench:
