Project Information

this adirondack chair was made from plans from (the barley harvest) wood is clear western red cedar,screwed and plugged.finish is penofin redwood oil.i used the redwood oil too darken the color.only made one because the wife being only 4'10.5" doesn't find these chairs to be comfortable.

yeah she has a lot problem in most chairs,her feet dont touch the ground-lol.

That is gorgeous!

The color is great, nothing like a fresh finish on fresh wood for the outdoors.

Plenty of room on the arm rests for a cool tankard of ale.

Is that lawn real or astro turf? I'd never get any work done if I had to tend to something like that to keep it so lush 8^)

thanks ben,the nice thing about adirondacks are the wide arms perfect for eating or setting a drink on.

well when the beagle came she pretty much decided astro turf is what was needed.it was either that or use the yard as a moto cross track-lol.

Very nice Pottzy…........Those big arms can hold many beers…........ keep you in it for hours!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice work on the chair. I have been meaning to make one but I want it 4" higher than usual. The ones I sat in are so low I can't hardly get out of them. They are comfortable when you get in them unless you under 5 ft I guess!

i love em i made probably 14 or so about 15 years ago,gave em all away.but your right about hard to get out of,especially after a few.i was planning on making the folding one they sell plans for but to my surprise the day i started they sent the wrong one,so here we are.

thanks ant man it's been awhile my friend.nice wood but so damn expensive right now,about 240 bucks to make one chair.
