Here is the beginning of my woodshop. So far this year the large tools I've purchased are: Rigid floor drill press from Home Depot, A refurbished Bosch combination router and this morning I just bought the Hitachi C10FL tablesaw. The pictures represent my work in progress since earlier this year. I designed my own bench with the idea of making it as versatile as possible for the limited amount of space available in my garage. I separately purchased from Lowes the 60" x 30" x 1 3/4" butcher block counter top, a four drawer kitchen cabinet and a 1 drawer/1 door opening combination cabinet. I stained and coated the cabinets with Poly and put the handles on a couple of weeks ago. I purchased the bench vise from Lee Valley and ordered the Red Oak for the jaws from Woodsource. I mounted the vise this past summer. I placed the router table plate in last weekend and after getting the router fence from Rockler I'll be putting in the grooves to allow the fence travel on the benchtop. Well that's pretty much it for now.

You have a nice shop space in which to work. It looks like you have organized it well and I really like the idea of putting a mat down on the floor around the bench. That sure beats working on concrete.

Thanks for the post. I enjoyed visiting your shop.
