Project Information

"A window into the garden" hand carved wooden box.

Box sizes:
Outer sizes:
length: 29,2 cm (11,5"), width: 14,7 cm (5,79"), height: 11,1 cm (4,37").
Inner sizes:
length: 25,4 cm (10"), width: 12,5 cm (4,92"), height: 6,7 cm (2,64").

Box material: linden/basswood.

Finish: Danish oil, box is lined with felt.

The design and execution …fantastic. How many hours would something like that take to carve? My grandmother used to tat the most amazing creations. They have been divided up and handed down through the generations as reminders of what skill and dedication can do. Your creations remind me of that.

Tatiana, I love this beautiful pattern for the top. It's perfect for that size box and the other patterns compliment the top of the box. As always, you have carved it perfectly; if there are any defects I sure don't see any. Your work is always so outstanding and I always look forward to seeing your work.

Tatiana, I like the use of negative space in this design. It emphasizes the carving. Haven't seen you do many trays. Nice idea. I think the metal clasp takes away from the look. How about something like this?
