Project Information

Here's the project I made yesterday, a quick hanging place for all our Cold Weather Gear…
The third picture was twenty minutes after it was up LOL !!
I had to drill holes along a line every 1/2" to find the studs (found four of them); so the rack is pretty well supported with 2" wood screws…

When I was taking pix, I happened to look up the stairs and it reminded me that I had never posted up the other apartment project, "A New Shrine for St. Francis"...
He found his home at the top of our stairs…
Thanks for looking, comments always welcome… :)

Looks great there, Mike. Very convenient location. Four studs should hold nicely, too!

St. Francis looks at home up there.

Thanks Guys!
Lew: After I found two of the studs it went a little faster because I could jump ahead 16" and do the drilling there…
David: How did you know that I was only going to get two of the pegs?! :)

Mike- I thought I was the only one who needed to drill holes to find studs! Those battery powered stud finders are totally useless in my hands. That rack looks pretty full. It may be time to start on a mate for it. Love the shrine.

Good to see your newest project in action already Mike.Looks good. Now if you could just put a shelf above that you would have a place for gloves and hats.

gfadvm: Andy, I don't think there's a better way than drilling… There is just too much metal in these old plaster walls for those stud finders!
Topo: If I had another wall I probably would build another, but…
Grizzman: That's very kind of you Bob! Looking at the pix it looks like our place is pretty bare and Spartan… but that's just the Hallway!! Our place is chock-full of furniture, the stuff I already had, the stuff I've made, and a few things from my Parent's house… We got Plenty!!
Stefang: Mike, I thought of having a shelf over, but didn't have enough Lumber… I'd also like to make a long narrow bench, with storage under, for shoes… Someday…
Sheila: Why don't you Make One!! :)
Porchfish: Don, it's been another strange year for weather… Last week was bitter cold, Zero and below, this week was 50's and 60's… We've had several snowstorms, but for all the dire warnings, we end up with inches of snow rather than feet… No wonder everyone is getting the Flu!!
Roger: Thank You my Friend, and Congratulations on your latest Family Member!! I haven't yet taken a look, but I'm headed over to the Forums right now to take a peek!! :)
Thank You All for taking the time!!
