Project Information

I just got back in the shop briefly and wanted something quick and easy to finish before I have to leave again. Dimensions: 7 1/2×5x4 1/2". Material: 3/4" Tiger Strand Bamboo panel. Finish: brushed on shellac rubbed out with Renissance wax using grey Scotch pad.

Very nice! Isn't it interesting the way that bamboo smells like your cutting dried up Johnson grass when you cut it?

Beautiful wood and craftsmanship. Finish is supurb. Shellac is becoming my favorite finish, gotta try your shellac-wax finish.

I've really got a soft spot for bandsaw boxes. These are really great with the wood selection and grain.
