Project Information

Took me a while to complete…in between other jobs…
from milling the lumber to the final coat of wax, it was a very satisfying project.
Solid wood throughout, except side panels (1/4" Maple Ply), back panel, and drawer bottoms (1/4" Birch Ply).
Drawers = Cherry-fronts/Maple sides & back (top 3 drawers have Cherry sides, because of the through dove's), 4 cornered dovetailed drawers on wooden slide runners.

about a month or so, but if pressed, I could do one in a couple weeks I think, it's the drawers, and finish that take the most time.
Thanks.

Nice chest. I like the material, and especially like the through dovetails on the top drawers!

A great piece well worth taking the time to build. It looks like the gambit of skills was used to produce it. The wooden drawer guides is a great throwback technique. Thanks for sharing the piece. Pat

very impressive. I like the thru dovetails, very distinctive at the top drawers. Another good use for the versatile plastic crate also.
